What was the highlight of Hotel Cortezo Madrid
Excellent place to stop for a few days
There was little traffic in front of the Hotel. My room faced into a small utility court yard. Had a window to allow fresh air as the room can get quite warm until you get used to radiators and A/C. Room was really cleaned, and serviced every day. Safe was very useful. Variation of breakfast food on offer was very good. All staff were friendly and helpful when I had any questions. Hotel is just far enough away from the Playa Major to find lost of local eateries and places to drink with in a short distance.

What was the highlight of Hotel Cortezo Madrid
Well located, very comfortable hotel with super breakfast.
Staff were friendly. Room was very comfortable. Good location. Not too far from the station and close to places we like to visit eg Lavapies. Breakfast was really lovely with lots of options for €12 per person. Madrid is an expensive place to stay but this was actually one of the less expensive hotels - still not cheap but compared very favourably with others in that area.
I know the hotel can't help with this but the first floor is actually the second floor because of a mezanine. It is what it is and I was grateful that we were given a room on the lowest floor - requested because of my anxiety. It probably wouldn't worry others. It's just I am happier being a little closer to the ground.

What was the highlight of Hotel Cortezo Madrid
I would stay here again.
The person in Reception who checked me in was very pleasant. I had requested a street facing room on a higher floor and they gave me one (even though there are only 5 street facing rooms on each floor and only 5 floors). The room was very clean and orderly, with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom with attached soap, body cream, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. There are double windows and in general I was not bothered by much street noise.
There were no room slippers so I called to ask for a pair and it was immediately sent up, but they are flimsy things the thickness of tissue paper - practically useless. I suggest they make a small upgrade to these. The room door had some space around the door jamb so I could often hear very clearly when people were talking in the hallway. It didn't really bother me but it might bother light sleepers.

My overall opinion of our hotel stay would be that it was very clean and spacious room with a good shower.
My overall opinion of our hotel stay would be that it was very clean and spacious room with a good shower. The location was good enough to walk to attractions and we managed to use public transport that was near us too
As we were British we found the room was too warm and had to keep a window open, however we understand it was cold for Spain.
